My electric mountainboard ran out of battery halfway to my first stop on a recent skatepacking trip. My testing showed it should have done twice that. So what happened? Well, as it turns out, even all-terrain electric skateboards meet their match with soaked, soggy gravel rail trails! I burned through batteries twice as fast due to the sloppy early spring trail conditions--and not even my AT eskate with 8" knobbly tires could cuty through it with ease.
