OVERMATCHED??? What Do You Do? #2MPM Ep. 76 from Slider Domination
7 Reasons Why YOU Should Throw a Slider
Visit http://SliderDomination.com

When it's a big spot in the game and a masher steps to the plate, many in attendance may consider that you are over matched, what do you do? Very simply, make pitches! Unless this goon is batting .800 for the season, he has weaknesses. He is not going to hit everything. In addition to that, if you are on the mound facing such an opponent, your manager believes in you. You are the best available man for that spot. So now that we got any indecision out of the way, let’s get to work!

Step 1: Enjoy the Moment! Embrace it! This can make you a hero. Accepting the challenge will Earn crazy respect from your dugout and accelerate your confidence. Succeeding in this spot can really wake you up to how your talents are truly capable of performing. You achieve this by focusing on the execution of pitches over the magnitude of the situation.

Step 2: What are Your Strengths and his Weaknesses? Do they match up? If so, have fun crumbling his ego!!!

Step 3: Be Crafty. You can still challenge a hitter by being smart. You have the ball. You are the one in control. He has to hit YOUR pitch!! Get a feel for his tendencies. Will you best him by expanding the zone in and out or up and down? Could it be as simple as fastballs in, Sliders away? Or the latter with a wild card location mixed into the attack? Possibly, you may have to use the entire arsenal. That just shows him, that you can do this all day...

When it looks as if he has all 4 quadrants of the zone covered and won’t chase, stick with your strengths. He has to beat your best! Keep battling! When a weakness in his approach appears, most notably from a change in speeds, go to work on it. If he is still not showing any holes, don’t be afraid to move his hands, hips, or feet. This can soften up even the toughest in their plate coverage. Sometimes, the 1st crack the facade is all you need. It's a matter of knowing how to use your chisel.

Step 4: Allow for this battle to wear you down mentally. When you go all in with your focus and execution, it will take more out of you than you think. When you win the battle, you won’t be bothered by the after effects. If an at bat like this limits your longevity on the mound this day, see it as a learning experience. A chance to get better from it. It first may drain you because you haven't placed this much focus on making pitches in this big of a spot with so little margin for error. However, like anything, the more you experience this situation, the more comfortable you become in accepting it’s accountability. Remember, it doesn't get easier, you have to get better.

Whether it takes 1 pitch to topple the monster, or 10, your the best man in this spot. Have fun be
...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLnxgsRxPhw
