We're over a week into van life, traveling from Glenrach Bridge to Nambucca Heads, and learning some expensive lessons along the way.<br /><br />We broke our MSI extender screen (ouch!) and we're sharing exactly how it happened so you don't make the same mistake. Moving tech around in a confined space while constantly packing and unpacking is trickier than we thought. This costly error taught us valuable lessons about protecting equipment on the road.<br /><br />On the positive side, our multifunctional desk setup has been incredible. These interlocking desks store under our mattress, work both indoors and outdoors, and include slide-out drawers that double as picnic seating. The whole system adapts to weather changes - sunny days mean outdoor office, storms mean we move inside and hook everything to our van's cage system.<br /><br />We're also documenting our continued downsizing journey. Turns out we weren't as minimalist as we thought! We just dropped off nearly 100 travel artifacts at Nimbin Craft Gallery for consignment - items collected over a decade from Nepal, Myanmar, and other Southeast Asian adventures.
