Jamarion Robinson's mother has been fighting for six years, seeking justice for her 26-year-old son who died at the hands of police officers and U.S. Marshals in 2016 when a task force descended on an apartment in an Atlanta suburb. Jamarion's mother sought the police for help with her son who suffered from a serious mental illness. Instead of help, she said, they took out warrants and eventually broke into the apartment. They pumped 59 bullets into Jamarion and activists say over 100 bullets were fired into the apartment. Jamarion’s body had over 70 exit wounds from the rain of deadly bullets. Now a new Black prosecutor in Atlanta has indicted a county police officer and a U.S. Marshal for Jamarion’s death, including felony murder charges.
