Steinsdalsfossen is a waterfall in the village of Steine in the municipality of Kvam in Vestland county, Norway. The waterfall is located about 2 kilometers west of the large village of Norheimsund which sits along the Hardangerfjord.<br /><br />The waterfall is one of the most visited tourist sites in Norway.<br /><br />The Steinsdalsfossen has a fall of 50 m and is special because you can walk safely and dry behind it. The fall occurred in 1699 when the river changed course. There is a footpath from the car park up to and under the waterfall.<br />
