OZONE TO LAKE FT. SMITH<br /><br />Welcome to part 2 of my Ozark Highlands Trail thru-hike. Steve and I (The Bionic Man and Perfect Pitch) head out of camp Ozone on a rainy afternoon and it rains pretty much all day until the very end of the day. The next several days turned into amazing weather and we had a fantastic hike over to Lake Ft. Smith. I was surprised at the level of some of the creeks. When I passed through here 5 years ago the water levels were so low. Indian Creek, Herrod's Creek, and Salt Fork Creek were unrecognizable to me but I had such a fun time trying to get across these without getting wet. Also, there were so many killer waterfalls on this end of the trail. All of the snow and ice run-off combined with two days of light rain and the water features were simply incredible.
