Just a quick video showing the inside of a fairly common inline one way valve for some liquids and gasses.<br /><br />This valve came from eBay. Its body is made of aluminium, but the interior is plastic/rubber, and will only be compatible with some liquids and gasses. It also does require a suitable reverse pressure to close properly.<br /><br />I got it to test its ability to hold against a slight vacuum, and it seems to work OK for that.<br /><br />If you want to open the valve it does require being gripped in a vice and a suitably sized or adjustable spanner/wrench used.
