# ***Complete [Organizam Star](<a href="https://organizamstar.wordpress.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://organizamstar.wordpress.com/</a> "The Sound Of Who We Are") Archive!***<br />***<br /><br /># ***"Lush" Biography***<br /><br />One of the first bands to have been described with the *"shoegazing"* label, were an English alternative band formed in ***[London](<a href="https://cutt.ly/GQCIBch" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/GQCIBch</a>)*** in 1987. The original ***“Lush”*** line-up consisted of ***[Miki Berenyi](<a href="https://cutt.ly/4QCI0hj" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/4QCI0hj</a>)*** (vocals, guitar), ***[Emma Anderson](<a href="https://cutt.ly/pQCI94G" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/pQCI94G</a>)*** (vocals, guitar), ***[Steve Rippon](<a href="https://cutt.ly/5QCObEV" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/5QCObEV</a>)*** (bass) and ***[Chris Acland](<a href="https://cutt.ly/aQCI4A2" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/aQCI4A2</a>)*** (drums). <br />***[Phil King](<a href="https://cutt.ly/gQCOh1X" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/gQCOh1X</a>)*** replaced ***Rippon*** in 1991. ***Meriel Barham***, the original lead vocalist left almost immediately, eventually joining ***“[Pale Saints](<a href="https://cutt.ly/NQC1jGo" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/NQC1jGo</a>)”***. When a replacement could not be found, guitarist ***Miki*** stepped up to the mic.<br />The band, initially named the ***"Baby Machines"***, were inspired by the garage rock scene of the ***"[Nuggets](<a href="https://cutt.ly/hQC0sUW" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/hQC0sUW</a>)”*** series", ***"[Cocteau Twins](<a href="https://cutt.ly/bQC0hPF" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/bQC0hPF</a>)"***, ***"[Siouxsie and the Banshees](<a href="https://cutt.ly/cQC0c8G" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/cQC0c8G</a>)"***, the ***"[Beach Boys](<a href="https://cutt.ly/bQC0S95" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/bQC0S95</a>)"*** and the ***''[Byrds](<a href="https://cutt.ly/hQC0G0V" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/hQC0G0V</a>)``***. <br /><br />By the time of their final album, 1996's ***"[Lovelife](<a href="https://cutt.ly/nQBKh2r" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/nQBKh2r</a>)"***, they had converted themselves into a power pop band with dream pop overtones, which resulted in the greatest chart success of their career. That success was dealt a blow when drummer ***Chris Acland*** committed suicide in the fall of 1996, effectively bringing the band to an end.<br /><br />On paper the ***[Guthrie](<a href="https://cutt.ly/uQM3S4g" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/uQM3S4g</a>)***/***Lush*** collaboration seems like a match made in heaven; however, this lacks a punch and balance that begins to frustrate by the latter half.<br /><br />> As with much of the band's early material, on band’s second album ***“Spooky”*** guitars dart and veer all over hell's half acre - just as you hear a gentle strum in one ear, another guitar whisks by like an overhead jet, only to be grounded to a halt by a swollen jolt from some netherworld. <br />><br />> Shortly after the release of their debut album, ***“Spooky”***, ***“Lush”*** were invited to play ***[Lollapalooza's](<a href="https://cutt.ly/wQBJJsH" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/wQBJJsH</a>)*** mainstage by ***[Perry Farrell](<a href="https://cutt.ly/NQBJLPJ" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/NQBJLPJ</a>)*** himself. It helped the London quartet break through stateside, but was still a less-than-likely festival booking - because, unlike other rock records of the early 1990s, “Spooky” doesn't rely on blistering noise to make its points. Its brilliant intricacies remain best appreciated alone, through headphones, and preferably in a room where long shadows creep onto the walls.<br /><br /># ***The Song Info***<br /><br />***“Laura”*** is the eleventh song from ***Lush's*** first album ***“[Spooky](<a href="https://cutt.ly/xQBKoCu" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/xQBKoCu</a>)”***, released on 27 January 1992 by ***“[4AD](<a href="https://cutt.ly/WQBpAgw" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/WQBpAgw</a>)”***. The album, produced by ***Robin Guthrie (“Cocteau Twins”)***, followed the band's debut mini album, ***“[Scar](<a href="https://cutt.ly/5QBJjwP" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/5QBJjwP</a>)”*** (1989), several extended play releases, and the compilation album ***“Gala”*** (1990). <br /><br /># ***"Lush" Info***<br /><br />**[Light from a dead star](<a href="https://cutt.ly/qQCU849" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/qQCU849</a>)** **/** **[Lushapalooza](<a href="https://cutt.ly/oQCOVZa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/oQCOVZa</a>)** **/** **[Wikipedia](<a href="https://cutt.ly/KQCENuB" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/KQCENuB</a>)** **/** **[AD](<a href="https://cutt.ly/sQCUQxa" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/sQCUQxa</a>)** **/** **[AllMusic](<a href="https://cutt.ly/qQCEV0p" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/qQCEV0p</a>)** **/** **[Pitchfork](<a href="https://cutt.ly/1QCRtFd" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/1QCRtFd</a>)** **/** **[Last.fm](<a href="https://cutt.ly/TQCRwt9" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/TQCRwt9</a>)** **/** **[Discogs](<a href="https://cutt.ly/nQCE0q3" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/nQCE0q3</a>)** **/** **[Facebook](<a href="https://cutt.ly/2QCE2ku" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/2QCE2ku</a>)** **/** **[Twitter](<a href="https://cutt.ly/nQCTETl" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/nQCTETl</a>)** **/** **[Instagram](<a href="https://cutt.ly/HQCE9ge" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/HQCE9ge</a>)** **/** **[YouTube](<a href="https://cutt.ly/2QCE36x" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/2QCE36x</a>)** **/** **[Spotify](<a href="https://cutt.ly/pQCRj0C" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/pQCRj0C</a>)** **/** **[Lyrics](<a href="https://cutt.ly/oQCTd0z" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/oQCTd0z</a>)**<br /><br /># ***More "Lush" Organizam Star Candy***<br /><br />- ***Lush - ["Scar"](<a href="https://cutt.ly/5QBJjwP" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/5QBJjwP</a>)***<br />- ***Lush - ["Split"](<a href="https://cutt.ly/QQBXFck" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/QQBXFck</a>)***<br />- ***Lush - ["Lovelife"](<a href="https://cutt.ly/nQBKh2r" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/nQBKh2r</a>)***<br />- ***Lush - ["Blindspot ep"](<a href="https://cutt.ly/UQBBvaU" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/UQBBvaU</a>)***<br /><br /># ***"Organizam Star" Recommendations***<br /><br />- ***Airiel - ["Molten Young Lovers"](<a href="https://cutt.ly/kQZttVr" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/kQZttVr</a>)***<br />- ***Cocteau Twins - ["Victorialand"](<a href="https://cutt.ly/UvLHZOe" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/UvLHZOe</a>)***<br />- ***Autumn's Grey Solace - ["Within The Depths Of A Darkened Forest"](<a href="https://cutt.ly/SQB6vzk" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/SQB6vzk</a>)***<br />- ***Republica - ["Republica"](<a href="https://cutt.ly/Ib1PZIB" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/Ib1PZIB</a>)***<br />- ***Elastica - ["The Menace"](<a href="https://cutt.ly/MQB6GzV" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://cutt.ly/MQB6GzV</a>)***<br /><br />***<br /># ***Complete [Organizam Star](<a href="https://organizamstar.wordpress.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://organizamstar.wordpress.com/</a> "The Sound Of Who We Are") Archive!***
