My name is Conshinz and I am an eclectic artist who creates podcasts, music, poetry and essays, I kind of have my foot in a bunch of things on this channel to be honest. I'm as real as they come and if you are too please do subscribe.<br />I started off on YouTube as a shitty reactor. I've gotten pretty good at reacting over the years but the reactions have turned into a podcast and radio show.<br />My podcast is called "Between The Bars with Conshinz and Friends" and is recorded live here on YouTube every Wednesday and Thursday. It is also available in audio format on Spotify and Google Podcasts.<br />My radio show is titled "Rabbit Hole Reactions" and is recorded live here on YouTube every Friday. Conshinz has endured extreme trauma in his life and also battled debilitating mental illness which adds to his creative expression. He has been making music since 1995 when he played bass and sang in a Punk Rock band named 'Sponge Cookie'. This band was a three piece and currently the two other members are General Practitioners. In the later years of 'Sponge Cookie', the band added a saxophone and a trumpet to the ensemble. Conshinz went solo under the pseudonym 'WilkSHAKE' in 2001 when he released his debut acoustic Punk Rock album titled 'The Kids Are Whistling' with Eric Schwindt of Emmit Records. In 2006 WilkSHAKE released his debut solo Punk Rock Album titled 'Broken Bone Poetry' with This Dark Empire Records. In 2009 Conshinz was accepted into the Spitboss community hosted by Canibus. Once being accepted into the Spitboss network he reached out to many successful Hip Hop artists and created a trilogy set of mixtapes with 45 collaborative tracks titled Spitboss Kin Vol. 1,2 and 3. RPTLN is one of WilkSHAKE's best friends from childhood and helped coach the entire project. Since 2009, Conshinz aka WilkSHAKE has released over a dozen solo records filled with Punk Rock, Rock 'n' Roll and Hip Hop. Currently Conshinz plays bass and sings in a Rock band titled 'The Dysfunctions'. Watch out for their debut album. In 2020 Conshinz released 1600 individual pieces of poetry packed into two massive 800 page books titled 'Brain Trauma and Drugs' and 'A Big Fucking Book Of Poetry'. Conshinz has also released several smaller books and sheets of lyrics for you all to enjoy. Formerly, Conshinz wrote for 'The Toronto Guardian' online magazine. He moved out west and unfortunately had to give up this position as to that the magazine only hires writers local to the Toronto area. Conshinz continues to write and share his poetry on his live YouTube shows to this date.<br />Conshinz used to be a party animal but these days he is a family man. He is happily common-law married to his life partner, Emily. Together they raise their son Lionel on the beautiful northern tip of Vancouver Island. There, they enjoy the wild wilderness and living in a very remote village. Here they hike, camp and enjoy the beautiful outdoors in lovely British Columbia.<br /><br />On December 7th 1998, Conshinz was involved in a horrific car accident. As the car he was travelling in sped down the freeway, the driver lost control and swerved through the median into oncoming traffic. The impact of the oncoming cars left Conshinz mangled, upside down and unconscious. The jaws of life were used to rescue Conshinz from the car after he had been pronounced dead on scene. As the firemen helped the other passengers in the car, Conshinz gripped onto his life and made as much noise as he could which caught the attention of his rescuers. The wreck left Conshinz with a shattered right femur, 8 broken ribs, a broken sternum, two broken wrists, several broken fingers, a broken jaw and a fractured skull. Many other minor injuries tolled on him as well. Left immobile and in a coma, Conshinz spent the next twenty years recovering from this horrible occurrence. <br /><br />@conshinz on instagram and twitter so please follow me there!
