Happy Families - Episode One (1985)
1. Edith.
The elderly Granny Fuddle (Jennifer Saunders) is told by Doctor De Quincy (Stephen Fry) that it's time to gather her family around her as she has just months to live. She places her inept grandson Guy (Adrian Edmonson) in charge of tracking down her four granddaughters - Cassie (now a superstar television actress overseas) Madeleine (a muse to a French poet) Joyce (a nun living in a convent) and Roxanne (who is currently serving time at Her Majesties Pleasure)
Happy Families was Ben Elton's spin on the 1949 Ealing film Kind Hearts And Coronets. It starred Jennifer Saunders in multiple roles and contains Elton's trademark robust, vulgar humour while The Young Ones producer Paul Jackson directs keeping it all often semi-surreal. The series has not made an appearance on home video, DVD or Bluray and has rarely been rebroadcast. Odd considering Happy Families stars an all star cast that also includes Stephen Fry, Dawn French, Hugh Laurie, Jim Broadbent, Helen Lederer, Arthur Smith, Nigel Planner, Ruby Wax, Tom Wilkinson and the late, great Rik Mayall among many other familiar faces. This episode was originally broadcast on the 17th October, 1985.

*I don't know how long this one will last before becoming unlisted, so please bookmark the playlist before it does.
...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cP-nQBzBP4
