Dropping Camera into Cave - Bakersville NC
WARNING: BAD AUDIO QUALITY INSIDE THE CAVE!

--Do you think I should dig out the upper cave to reopen the entrance?--

This is a multiple entrance cavern that is small, but interesting nonetheless.

The upper entrance has fallen in on itself. The lower one is open, and drops 25-30 vertical feet before going sideways. My neighbors said that back in the 1960's, it used to blow warm air out all year 'round, and would melt the snow in the wintertime.

One person told of a man, a close friend to him, who went into the cavern 40 years ago. This second hand recalling of the account stated that the cavern went into the mountain about 300 (Or 30?) feet, then turned a sharp right, towards a massive fault line inside of the mountain. These stories tend to get exaggerated though.

At the bottom of this pit, there seems to be a sideways slanting shaft, which goes off into the darkness, as you will see in the video. I will send the camera back, someday, pointed sideways.
...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hI5xVAwrC1A
