Le livre de l'Apocalypse est un des livres prophétiques de la Bible qui se concentre sur les évènements des derniers temps dans l'histoire humaine. Il prédit les grandes lignes du plan de Dieu pour son église, pour Israël et pour les nations du monde. Du chapitre 4 au chapitre 19, il décrit la dernière grande période de rébellion de l'homme sur la terre en offrant les détails sur les acteurs et les évènements majeurs de la tribulation de l'homme. Après cette description, ce livre inspiré et utile offre le dévoilement de la victoire finale de Dieu et de son peuple sur la méchanceté de l'homme. Ainsi, le croyant peut voir la lumière au bout du tunnel de l'histoire ténébreuse de l'être humain sur cette terre.
