in GNOME 3.28 Files has a new option to star files, similar to Google Drive, but it's mechanism is kinda confusing<br /><br />It currently can only star items that are indexed from tracker and only on specially XDF_FOLDERS like $PHOTOS, $VIDEOS, $DOCUMENTS etc<br /><br />That is because there is not an API for GNOME Files to know what directories are indexed by tracker.
