This is my old Tascam 4 track cassette mixer. <br />1980's vintage I believe, I got it 2nd hand, early 90's.<br />This song was recorded on it - can you guess which song of mine it became?<br /><br />It would record 2 tracks on one side of the cassette and 2 tracks on the other side, so if you turned the tape over, it would play back in reverse - endless hours of fun for a music nerd, like me.<br /><br />*** Warning, nerd-speak coming up ***<br /><br />You could actually get up to 10 tracks on it by "bouncing" tracks.<br />So, you'd record on the first 3 tracks and then move those 3 tracks to the 4th track, while recording on the 4th track simultaneously. You now have 4 tracks on track 4.<br />Same procedure for the rest - record 2 tracks, move those to the 3rd track (while recording another track). record 1 track, move that while recording on 2nd track.
