Suffering from stress Dr. Madan Kataria tried to get relief by laughing. So, he started to engage people in laughing founding a laughter club and meet in a park each day. First the laughter club started with telling jokes, but after a few weeks they ran out of good jokes and he had to try something different. Therefore, he started a group for laughing without any reason. This was the beginning of Laughter Yoga. During his work as Dr. Madan Kataria fell sick with flu for about five to six times a year.
