In this video I talk about the "YouTube" creator movement, and especially Cody Wanner's idea of there being #NoSmallCreator as the very act of creating is huge in itself. Cody had around 1000 subscribers, but he never let this define him but instead proudly proclaimed #IAmNoSmallCreator. Ironically, as this idea got picked up by some of the larger names on YouTube, most notably Peter McKinnon, he now of course got a lot more subscribers, and can count himself among the somewhat big names :-)<br /><br />The ideas in his videos, and in the community that formed around it is about the act of creating never being small. But in these circles I find creating and "to be a creator" is often a somewhat limited term, and usually means someone who makes videos on YouTube.<br /><br />Recently, another creator (that goes under the name THAT CR3ATIV3 LIF3) in the community suggested everyone that connects to it make a video on the meaning of the message, for them. And while I totally agree on the basic message, for me creativity is so much more than video. Creativity is _always_ important, no matter what your outlet is. Your audience can just as well be only yourself as it can be something for everyone. I call you the #CreativeGeek as we here are focusing on pop and geek culture, but this is meant as an expansion more than a limitation. Creativity is not only something that happens in art, but also in your passionate everyday life.
