2022 Yamaha YZF-R7 | Affordable Sportsbike | No Electronics!
Yamaha have unveiled the new R7 sportsbike, built around the MT-07 powerplant and offering what looks to be a great value option that's taking a slightly different approach to the increasingly electronics crazy modern bikes.

The chassis has been updated including fully adjustable forks and an adjustable shock, with aggressive sportsbike ergonomics and fairings.

Interestingly, performance is unchanged from the MT-07, although there will be a LAMS version available, with pricing in Australia to be $14k for the LAMS, ride away and $15k for the HO or full power version by way of comparison.

While there's some parallels to the RS660 it seems that Yamaha have taken a very different direction, but one that could well pay dividends, as overly powerful sportsbike have fallen in popularity in recent years.

The MT-07 has been a popular machine since it was introduced and calls for a faired version have been ongoing, with the R7 seeming to cover the obvious areas that the MT-07 is weak in, when you're thinking a track weapon.

Images and footage courtesy of Yamaha Motors.

Don't forget to subscribe and hit that notification bell!
https://motojournokris.com/youtube
...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UuMFIdNQDg
