<a href="http://www.unboxfresh.com/1854" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.unboxfresh.com/1854</a><br />Upgrade your MacPro workstation computer with a new modern day graphics card. <br /><br />I bought my MacPro back in 2011. The ATI 5770 is a ok graphics card, but I noticed it was lacking when dealing with 4K Ultra HD video editing and general oompf with rendering, exports and encoding. I also wanted to upgrade my HP LP2475W Full HD Monitor to a 4K UHD Monitor - I actually ended up going with a LG Ultrawide monitor instead (34UM95) which has a 3440x1440 resolution. <br /><br />LG Ultrawide 34” monitor 3440x1440p (includes Thunderbolt 2 ports)<br /><br />UK <br /><br /><a href="http://amzn.to/1QtgkjG" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://amzn.to/1QtgkjG</a><br /><br />USA <br /><br /><a href="http://amzn.to/1Vz1KLU" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://amzn.to/1Vz1KLU</a><br /><br />This graphics card runs a LG 34UM95-p (The LG 34UM95C is the same monitor minus the Thunderbolt 2 ports - slightly cheaper too) fine on a 2010 MacPro 5,1. Of course the only issue is that the card I received had a backplate fixed to it - This easily came off after unscrewing the 11 or so Phillips head screws. Also, the HDMI out port did not work - but I simply used a DVI to HDMI adapter to hook up my Samsung Smart TV. <br /><br />The other issue when running this or any other PC Card in a MacPro is the lack of a grey boot screen. If you don’t need to dip into different boot discs - i.e. if your running Boot Camp alot or other operating systems, then you would probably be better off with a flashed card. <br /><br />Before buying this I bought a Sapphire AMD 7950 from MacVidCards. This turned out to be faulty with freezes, glitches and kernal panics. <br /><br />I never realised PC cards ‘just work’ with MacPros! Be careful though, the X version of this card will not work.
