This is said to be the most famous sermon in history. Jonathan Edwards lived between 1703 and 1758. This sermon was preached in 1741 and was a part of the first Great Awakening in the United States. It is said that when he delivered this - with a complete monotone and hiding behind his notes - the people shook with fear and gripped the pew in front of them until their knuckles turned white. <br /> <br />Rob Bell probably HATES this sermon!!
