This is a video where I had fun building the Carbon Commander, The Lt. Duex, The Lt. Duece... etc. A DX Commander Concept. In this video, I briefly go over the build, make contacts, then come back and wrap it up. This video goal is to provide you ideas on building your own Multiband Vertical or maybe thinking of things to improve your purchased DX Commander.<br /><br />No reason to show you a complete build on a DX Commander like antenna, I already did that in my prior video - Links from the video / Referenced in the video (<a href="https://youtu.be/hkOVlHnH9eE" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://youtu.be/hkOVlHnH9eE</a>).<br /><br /><br />This concept works for many reasons. One reason that comes to mind is the ease of the concept for individuals with physical disabilities. This is an idea/concept which would in theory, allow less work . Many other reasons out there too, but that is just one example.<br />______<br /><br />"I'm too lazy to watch the full episode and I am going to complain for 10 minutes in the comments about the video being to long, get to the point!"<br /><br />Okay, the point is you haven't figured out there is a fast forward button or playback speed button on Youtube. <br />The Summary is I take a 25 foot carbon mast, and build a Simple DX Commander Concept. What is a Concept? It's like when you see fanboys who design their own version of a car for fun, thinking of things to improve on the original concept. <br /><br />Really, any elements you want are possible. As I mention in the video, 30m by taking off the top element of 40, 17m with an extra wire, BUT WAIT (Just an afterthought here):<br />Why not do like a linked Dipole and on the 20m element, make there and rapid connect, disconnect link for 17m (If you're portable).
