Massive Protests Erupt in Mainland China<br />Well, I am a little late on this one, just because I wanted to gather accurate information and understand the situation myself. I do have a female friend in Nanjing University who is a witness of what happened, she briefed me about the whole situation, apparently she's not happy about the situation and she's willing to talk to me, or any who wants to listen. Oppression is something you do not want to experience, it takes away your human right and leaves you adhering to things you aren't comfortable about.<br /><br />The ongoing student protest in Jiangsu province has been violently suppressed by Chinese police. Students demonstrated against the conversion of undergraduate colleges to vocational schools. Students from five Chinese schools issued a joint statement, according to local reports. After at least five independent colleges were merged, students went on the offensive. They are concerned that it will lower the value of their qualifications as they prepare for a competitive job market. Protest videos showed police retaliating violently against several agitating students. Students were seen angrily shouting anti-movement slogans in videos that surfaced online.
