Understanding the Impact of Sales Volume, Interest Rates, and Inflation on the Real Estate Market
Sales activity in certain markets has experienced a significant decline of nearly 40%, affecting various related industries such as real estate, title companies, lenders, and escrow companies. This downturn has resulted in a domino effect, impacting businesses involved in property purchases, such as furniture, appliances, home improvement, contractors, and landscaping services. While the real estate market plays a crucial role in the economy, efforts to stimulate it have been challenged by central banks' actions to control inflation. Interest rates have risen rapidly, causing difficulties for the market. However, it is essential to differentiate between sales volume and sales prices. While they can be related, they are not always connected. Despite the challenges, mortgage rates remain relatively low, offering opportunities for borrowers. Negative interest rates have been present, meaning borrowers essentially get paid to borrow money.

However, there is concern that negative interest rates might hinder inflation control. Central banks aim to balance inflation and unemployment rates through managed economies, often resorting to unemployment to combat excessive inflation. The Federal Reserve is facing challenges as they attempt to manage the Phillips curve and maintain a 2% inflation rate while keeping unemployment at reasonable levels. Supply chain disruptions have contributed to recent inflation, and the Fed anticipates a decline as these issues are resolved. However, the injection of trillions of dollars into the system combined with limited supply can lead to inflationary pressures. The Fed's handling of the economy has been criticized for not tightening the money supply and raising rates earlier. While inflation is generally undesirable, it can benefit real estate investors using strategies like inflation-induced debt destruction, leveraging inflation to pay off debts and create wealth.

___________________________________________________
Follow Jason on TWITTER, INSTAGRAM & LINKEDIN
Twitter.com/JasonHartmanROI
Instagram.com/jasonhartman1/
Linkedin.com/in/jasonhartmaninvestor/

Call our Investment Counselors at: 1-800-HARTMAN (US) or visit: https://www.jasonhartman.com/

Free Class: Easily get up to $250,000 in funding for real estate, business or anything else: http://JasonHartman.com/Fund

CYA Protect Your Assets, Save Taxes & Estate Planning:
http://JasonHartman.com/Protect

Get wholesale real estate deals for investment or build a great business – Free Course: https://www.jasonhartman.com/deals

Special Offer from Ron LeGrand:
https://JasonHartman.com/Ron

Free Mini-Book on Pandemic Investing:
https://www.PandemicInvesting.com
...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VeF0KZ45Ao
