Finished rebuilding the tilting rack and installing the 4 new solar panels.<br /><br />The two new 14 ft. long sections of Uni-strut were lag bolted to the 2x6 wooden frame. With the added stiffness, I was able to remove some of the strapping I had added initially to stiffen the frame. This cleans up the back side of the frame making access to the panels easier.<br /><br />I lifted the panels one at a time on my panel hoist level to the patio roof from the ground. Then from on top of the roof, I slid the panels over along some cardboard and lifted that up onto the rack (in the flat summer position). Then, it's easy to bolt the panels to the racking with the previous hardware. <br /><br />The 14 ft. length of Uni-strut was plenty for 4 panels in portrait mode, leaving several inches on each end to spare.
