Wurdah Ïtah (Prima Materia)

Originally credited as a Christian Vander solo album and later incorporated into Magma’s discography, *Ẁurdah Ïtah* is the stripped-down second movement of the *Theusz Hamtaahk* trilogy. It was conceived as a soundtrack for Yvan Lagrange’s obscure *Tristan et Iseult* film, which repurposed early Magma demos without permission. Vander negotiated funding for a proper recording, resulting in a minimalist arrangement with only piano, bass, drums, and vocals.

Despite its reduced instrumentation, the album retains Magma’s ritualistic intensity, leaning more into jazz influences and repetition. The compositions evolve gradually, forming a cohesive suite rather than distinct tracks. While it lacks the bombast of *MDK*, it remains a fan favorite for its raw, hypnotic energy.
