This took longer to make than expected for a project that seems so simple on the surface. There are a lot of moving parts in even a small, mostly modular game that are easy to underestimate when you're in development. Something I will remember for the future.<br /><br />This is Mazes and Labyrinths, my deceptively difficult single screen maze game that I've been working on and off to complete for a while now. It's a 70+ level puzzle game set in the world of Antinomia where you battle the prophet Sybilla and the invading Omniety, an alien being reshaping the world to its whims.<br /><br />My goal was to create something of an arcade-puzzle experience, with short, bite-sized levels that nevertheless disguise deeply complex, rule-based design. Learning the intricacies of the powerups, the enemies, and the full implications of your abilities is essential to mastering the game. In addition, there is also a robust yet simple to use level editor to create, play, and share your own levels.<br /><br />For everyone that tries, I wish you luck.
