Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster #006, Imperial Camp: Assault on Doma
This is video #006 in my playthrough of Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster on Steam.

Final Fantasy VI Pixel Remaster Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIZ8kn0xML26erzXR-_zrVuvUR8Q2I200

Previously, we played through Terra, Edgar, and Banon's scenario. They returned to Arvis's house in Narshe. Then, we played through Locke's scenario. During his escape from South Figaro, he rescued Celes, a former Imperial soldier with a conscience. Now, we will start on Sabin's scenario and begin his long journey to Narshe.

Scenario Selection:

We resume in control of Mog on the Scenario Selection screen. He examines Sabin to begin his scenario.

Overworld (time 0:36):

Sabin has washed up far to the east of Narshe in the northwest of the world's northeastern continent. He equips a Star Pendant and a Jeweled Ring.

Just to the east of his starting position, Sabin enters a Cabin area.

Cabin (time 0:56):

Outside the Cabin, Sabin talks to Shadow. This triggers some dialogue. Shadow will guide Sabin towards Doma Castle on the way to Doma Castle on the way back to Narshe. However, he may leave Sabin at any time.

Considering the party's levels, Shadow the Assassin joins at Level 11. Shadow comes with a Kunai and a suit of Ninja Gear. He equips a Buckler and a Leather Cap. Since Shadow may leave at any time at this point, he does not equip any relics. Shadow's special command is Throw. He can throw weapons, Ninja stars such as Shuriken, and scrolls. In battle, Shadow's dog, Interceptor, will randomly take blows directed at Shadow and retaliate with powerful counterattacks.

The party talks to a Merchant on a chocobo outside the cabin. They stock up heavily on Potions and Shuriken. They get Plumed Hats for Sabin and Shadow. They also get a few Invisibility Scrolls, Shadow Scrolls, Phoenix Downs, and Tents.

Sabin and Shadow equip the Plumed Hats.

The party enters the isolated cabin. The Aged Man that lives here is quite certifiable. However, the party can take a free nap in his bed.

The party leaves the Cabin.

Overworld (time 5:22):

The party fights in the area outside the Cabin to catalogue the local monsters. The following monsters appear in the area: Aepyornis, Stray Cat, Nettlehopper, and Chippirabbit. Stray Cats and Chippirabbits tend to appear in the woods. Encountering multiple groups with Stray Cats will help an upcoming character.

After encountering some of the monsters, the party returns to the Cabin.

Cabin (time 9:19):

Inside the Cabin, the party takes a nap. Then, they go back out.

Overworld (time 9:44):

The party continues encountering the local monsters.

When they have encountered each monster type, they return to the Cabin.

Cabin (time 11:28):

The party goes inside the Cabin and takes a nap. Then, they leave again.

Overworld (tim
...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFhxaNjoh4o
