Bentley Rhythm Ace - Bentley Rhythm Ace (1997, Skint)
Anyone fed up of big beat before it was officially a genre, looking for breaks that weren't Jungle or D'n'B, was intelligent, yet still funky and accessible were looking for the sound of Nu Skool Breakz. There was the Chem Bros as always, and Producers like Fluke & Hybrid with their own personalized styles. But even newer sstill were the breaks of Propellerheadz, Dylan Rhymes, and these youths (formed by Richard March once part of "Pop Will Eat Itself" along with their 2 live drummers & who worked with the Prodigy on "Jilted", + Mike Stokes & James.Atkin) whose album from what I recall was sadly overlooked, but damn original and fun. Listening now I'm thinking: Chemical Bros eat ya hearts out!

Tracklist:

00:00 Let There Be Flutes
07:49 Midlaner (There can only be one)
14:27 Why is a Frog Too
19:50 Mind that Gap
25:59 Run on the Spot
31:24 Bentley's Gonna sort you Out!
36:19 Ragtopskodacarchase
44:41 Whoosh
50:31 Who put the Bom in the Bom Bom Diddle
54:32 Spacehopper
59:54 Return Of The Hardcore Jumble Carboottechnodisco Roadshow
