Als Alb besitzt er durch den reinen Elexkonsum erhöhte logische Denkfähigkeiten und einen gestärkten Körper, verliert hingegen sämtliche Emotionen, solange Elex konsumiert wird. Auf einer Mission in seinem Gleiter wird Jax durch eine Schwachstelle im Schutzschild abgeschossen und stürzt ab.[5] Obwohl er den Absturz überlebt, wird er für sein Versagen bei seiner Mission von seinem Bruder Kallax exekutiert. Was Kallax zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht bemerkte, Jax überlebte auch diese Exekution. Doch schwer angeschlagen wird der Ex-Alb auch noch von einem Outlaw – Ray – ausgeraubt, inklusive sämtlicher Kampfausrüstung.
