harbor freight chipper shredder vs 2x12 #harborfreight #wood #chipper #shredder #harborfreighttools
Can the harbor freight chipper shredder handle 2x12s? We are about to find out in this video.

I'm not sponsored by harbor freight or any other company. What that means for you is that my reviews of products are not biased in any way. I buy products out of my own pocket based on my own needs for my homestead and if they are great I let you know and if they suck I also let you know. I didn't get paid to make any review of any product I have ever reviewed. There are very few products that actually make my "best money I ever spent" club. But this harbor freight chipper shredder was the very first one and I still feel that way 5 years later. If you are on the fence about buying one after buying this video, they have mental health professionals all over the world who can try to figure your reasoning out. Seriously though, if this item ever breaks down to a state where I can't fix it, I will buy another one the same day.

I've reviewed and done several videos on the harbor freight chipper shredder that I've owned more than 5 years now. It is the most reliable gas powered tool i own, almost always starting on the first pull. It has paid for itself time and again with money saved buying mulch which i use in numerous places around my homestead as a weed barrier, in walkways, mulch around fruit trees, mulch around blackberries, mulch around blueberries, and mulch around rhubarb.....anywhere I don't want weeds taking over gets mulched! I used to buy mulch by the pallet loads which cost about $200 per pallet several years ago ... its probably way more today. I would often need 2-3 pallets every year. I've not bought any mulch since owning the chipper shredder. So that $400 - $600 a year savings just cost me a little time to pick up all the sticks that get blown down in the spring and fall, all the trees that fall down, or tree trimmings or cuttings I make from fruit trees, and even scrap lumber eventually makes it to the chipper shredder with a little work to get them down to a size that will fit the top chute which is approx 1-1/2" x 3-1/2 inches. That's what this video is about, me getting rid of the rotted 2x12s that still have some life left in them that have been laying on the ground just outside the garden fence ever since I tore the raised beds out back in 2021 I think it was. I walk by that huge pile of lumber every day to feed the chickens. You can't tell in the video but its at least 3 feet tall and about 10-15 feet x 8 feet wide and contains the lumber from 8x 4x8 raised beds
...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mQ-XwPL_Iw
