Narcissists' Mirage of Empathy<br /><br />The narcissist's love bombing felt so caring at first. They showed exaggerated empathy, validating my every feeling. I thought I'd found the nurturing love I craved.<br /><br />A Well-Crafted Facade<br /><br />But their empathy was a facade - part of the love bombing mirage. They expertly performed compassion without truly feeling any. It was carefully crafted to earn my trust.<br /><br />A Means to Exploit<br /><br />Their staged empathy gave them intimate knowledge to exploit me with later. My vulnerability was cataloged, and my weaknesses exposed.<br /><br />No Genuine Nourishment<br /><br />While their love bombing offered a tantalizing mirage, no real nourishment came from their false empathy. They took far more than they gave.<br /><br />Reclaiming My Power<br /><br />Bit by bit, I rebuilt my shaken self-trust and cultivated true self-worth. Focusing inward, I reclaimed power the narcissist tried to strip away.<br /><br />Building Real Resilience<br /><br />Instead of seeking their mirage of empathy again, I nourish myself with self-compassion, building real inner resilience they cannot undermine.<br /><br />Wiser Now<br /><br />While their exaggerated empathy initially fooled me, I see through their manipulations clearly now.
