Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, Op. 30 by Sergei Rachmaninoff<br /><br />Rachmaninoff completed this concerto in 1909 with the premiere being given in November the same year in New York with Rachmaninoff himself playing the piano. The work is technically demanding and as such was not performed regularly until later in the 1900’s. <br /><br />The work is comprised of three movements:<br />I. Allegro ma non tanto<br />II. Intermezzo: Adagio<br />III. Finale: Alla breve<br />
