Well, I did a few things last night. I lowered the string height on a couple of my guitars to 1.5mm on the High-E, and 1.75 on the Low-E just to see how I dealt with a lower action than I'm used to. Well, I got used to it pretty quick and did the 2nd thing - finally learned the guitar solo to this song! The lower action allows for much greater speed and accuracy! I like it! <br /><br />I'll be lowering the action of ALL my guitars to this height eventually. This guitar plays EXACTLY like all the PRS guitars I tried in the stores (that were fully set up by their techs). Now, all I need is an actual PRS like a Standard 24 or a Custom 24. Hmmmm...... Now, I see why Alex Lifeson likes the PRS guitars so much!<br /><br />NOTE: I used Vadim Taranov's free '5150' amp sim combined with Guitar Rig 5 and the free TS-999 Tube Screamer plugin (Ignite Amps) for this one. The Tube Screamer plugins before the amps give KILLER sustain and clarity! <br /><br />'Spreading The Disease' is from Queensryche's incredible 1988 album 'Operation: Mindcrime' and is written by Geoff Tate and Michael Wilton. <br /><br />SIGNAL CHAIN:<br /><br />GUITAR: IYV IP-300-TSB (PRS Custom 24 Copy) - Bought for $276 from Amazon. Plays very well and the Destiny CNC-Wound pickups are AWESOME! This guitar fully matches the feel and sound of the PRS SE (and even the Custom 24!) models I played at the guitar stores back in November 2019 when I was shopping for a new guitar!
