Is meat really murder? Is there such thing as happy or humane meat? Family farming<br /><br />People say "Well I only eat meat once a week" or "I purchase my meat, milk and eggs from a family farm". Please take a look at this video or even a part of it, it will change your views on "happy meat" and "humane slaughter". The people you see in this video use old outdated methods of killing animals. It is a family and they are killing the animal "humanely" and this is what the industry calls "happy meat". I don't think the pig screaming in this video is happy getting a knife stabbed in her belly.<br /><br />There is no such way of killing any animal nicely or gently. No animal (even raised organically, and even including us humans) wants to die before their time. There is no way to take a life without there being pain and animals feel pain just we do, as we are also animals. <br /><br />As you see in this video the animal is being taken to be slaughtered. The slaughter is being done outdoors with a knife. This is the practise what is called happy meat or humane meat. First of all, the pig is screaming so she is not having a happy death and secondly if this is humane slaughter, than why is the pig screaming and trying to get away? This pig like so many other farm animals wants to live their life in peace and freedom. Please do not eat animals or their by-products.
