Thousands swarmed the streets of Berlin for nationwide-mobilized protests in solidarity with Palestine. We were on the ground and asked the protesters for their perspective on the ongoing wave of police repression sweeping Berlin. Last week, the city was the scene of unprecedented raids and crackdowns on Palestinian activists.<br /><br />"They are whitewashing their history by saying that they're supporting Israel," said one protest participant. Others told us about strict restrictions and absurd, discriminatory bans, such as not being allowed to wear the keffiyeh or even display the Palestinian flag. We also witnessed arrests of protest participants.
