Er war die Stimme der chilenischen Demokratie: Victor Jara. Der Sänger und Theatermacher und Marxist (Mitglied der chilenischen KP) gehörte zu jenen Künstlern, die die Linksregierung der Unidad Popular unterstützen. <br />Nach dem Putsch am 11.September 1973 wird der Sänger verhaftet und im Stadion von Santiago de Chile (Estadio Chile) gefangen gehalten.
