Laelia Pacavia is getting such a deep clean that 90% of the #leca is coming out of the pot. Meanwhile, I share #memories of a trip on my dad's ship, when I first came to #Spain semi hydroponics and inorganic orchid media is not a one stop shop! Although, semi hydro comes with a long list of advantages, it does not mean that the health of the root ball, and climate in the orchid pot, does not need a good clean, just as we would do if the orchid were growing in organic media. Maintaining the root ball health and oxygen exchange in the pot of an orchid grown in semi hydro and inorganic media, is the way to successfully growing orchids in this set up, indefinitely!
