Ron DeSantis Is Getting His Butt Kicked In His Own State Of Florida
Ron DeSantis might have cruised to a historic re-election victory last year, but that doesn't mean that he's the favorite politician in the state. According to the latest polls, DeSantis is getting his butt kicked by Donald Trump in Republican primary polling, with Trump commanding a 24-point lead over DeSantis in his own state. Those numbers will be tough to overcome, and it shows that DeSantis might be even more of a paper tiger than we previously thought. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.

Link - https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/state/poll-trump-leads-desantis-by-a-24-point-margin-in-florida

Check out our merch by visiting our store: https://www.buyrof.com/

Subscribe to our podcast: http://www.ROFPodcast.com

Become a member today!: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYWIEbibRcZav6xMLo9qWWw/join

Support us by becoming a monthly patron on Patreon, and help keep progressive media alive!: https://www.patreon.com/TheRingofFire

Spread the word! Because if as a candidate you cannot win, your state kind of shows that you don't have any power outside of that state and you're not gonna win an election. And unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is currently getting his handed to him in the polls in the state of Florida. The latest polls released this week by Florida Atlantic University show that Ron DeSantis is losing to Donald Trump by 24 points. Trump currently has 57% of Florida primary voters saying that he is their choice. And only 33% say that DeSantis is their choice. But DeSantis does have one positive for him, and that is that he holds a lead among voters aged 18, uh, to 34 over Trump by a nine point margin.
But Donald Trump wins all other Republican age groups, which outnumber the youth vote. So yeah, DeSantis is in serious trouble, but I guess if you want to count another positive for DeSantis, maybe it's the fact that no other candidate has more than 3% support here in the state of Florida. So, I mean, comparatively, if DeSantis is at 33% and everybody else is 3% or lower, yeah, I, I'd say you're doing better than them. But you're still 24 points behind Donald Trump, and I don't see any way in which you can make up that difference. You know, one of the things that we have talked about here on America, uh uh, uh, ring of Fire, especially on America's lawyer, is the fact that when she was running as a Democratic presidential hopeful, Kamala Harris didn't win her home state of California. Like she wasn't even popular enough in her home state where she currently held an office to win it.
And yes, that is a big deal. So when you have somebody like DeSantis who is also in a position to not win his state, well, we know how the story went for Harris. She obviously had to drop out shortly after, but she got a pretty awesome consolation prize and being named the vice presidential pick and then went on to become the Vice President of the United States. But I don't think DeSantis can count on the same kind of support from Donald Trump. If DeSantis loses Florida in this primary, he is done. And I don't just mean done for the 2024 election. If he loses Florida in that Republican primary, it's over for Ron DeSantis. He will finish out his career as governor and he will be listed in the footnote of history as an also ran Republican. And as it stands right now, there is not a path to victory for Ron DeSantis in his own home state because even though he won by huge numbers last November, the people in his state have made it clear, we want Trump and we just don't like you anymore.
Thanks for watching everyone, and well, here comes the awkward part at the end of the video where I ask you to like, comment, and share and subscribe for more content from Ring of Fire.
