The way he gets thrown into the seat is theatrics right?<br />A) I've noticed a few people in the comments are skeptical about how I am thrown back into the seat in the video. I can assure you 100% this is not theatrics! This car produces 1.67G's instantly at launch and I weight ~300 lb (167kg). That means that at launch my body weighs ~614lb (278kg). So it's like me laying the seat flat and having a clone of me sit on my chest while wearing a backpack with ~14lb of extra crap in it. I hope this helps paint the visual pictures for all you disbelievers. If for some reason you still don't believe it just show up at a Tesla event where they are giving joy rides in Ludicrous mode. It won't be as fast as 'Secret Sauce' but you will quickly understand what I'm talking about.<br /><br />Q) Dragsters jerk you half of what he displays!<br />A) The funniest comment I've read so far is that I'm faking it "because not even dragsters push the driver back this hard". Let me point out a few obvious things here to help you wrap your head around this. When you're in a dragster you are in a form fitting bucket seat strapped down to it with a 5 point harness that is tightened so hard you can't hardly move. This is because if you were loose in your seat you run the risk of 'pushing back into the seat' or 'riding up the seat' at launch and losing control of the vehicle. This is why you don't see the driver get slammed into his seat like I do just wearing a over the shoulder strap with a seat containing actual padding. Also the drivers in a dragster have their helmets pressed firmly back into the seat at launch and a strap connecting it to their shoulders to prevent rocking movement so the driver doesn't get whiplash or worse. I'm just glad the vast majority understand what is real and why it's real instead of just trying to down me in a river to see if I'm a witch.<br /><br />Q) How much HP does the car have?<br />A) Well, I can't really say right now because of NDA but I can say that P85D Ludicrous is 762hp (torque over 3000ftlb) and this is a 'huge' upgrade over that...<br /><br />Q) The footage showing the dash 0-60 looks like 2.9 seconds when it should be faster? Right?<br />A) The only footage we got of the cluster was during the 3rd or 4th launch and it was on a new surface and the car was fishing for traction more then the previous runs, it was noticeably slower. Unfortunately since it was the only footage I had of the dash cluster that is what I put in the video. Also I just stomped on the gas from a stop and didn't enable launch mode. Don't get me wrong though even at 2.9 second 0-60 the force this car puts on you is freaking dramatic.
