Director: Andrew Nisinson. <br /> <br />The concept was this: to have New Collisions perform their single in actual slow motion. It took a week, but the band learned to sing and play along to "Dying Alone SloMo"--the original recording slowed down 4x. Every mouth motion and guitar arpeggio was played at a gruelingly slow rate, "frame by frame." <br /> <br />When the footage is sped up 4x, the band performs at normal speed. They look jerkily animated, like flipbooks of themselves. The background, however, flies past in a blur. <br /> <br />Over seven consecutive nights, director Andrew Nisinson filmed the band in the busiest areas of Manhattan.
