Search for the Lost Subway Commercial: Absurd Mysteries w/ Baron von Brunk
The real commercial has been found! Watch here ► https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvt5NYY0zsA

In the mid-1990s, the sandwich chain Subway used to air a bizarre low-budget television commercial with unusual biblical overtones. This commercial has seemingly been lost and forgotten by all – except for me. Watch as I do my best to bring attention to this strange mystery by describing the commercial in depth, followed by a LEGO stop-motion puppet reenactment of the synopsis!

Perhaps you or someone else you know might have a collection of VHS tapes with commercials recorded on it, and this advertisement appears on that tape. Maybe you're an employee from Subway such as a marketing rep, and you can use your powers to dig into the company's archives to locate this footage. Or who knows: perhaps you were a cast or crew member from this commercial's production, and you can clue us in as to what this strange advertisement was all about!

Some additional notes about the supposed lost commercial itself:

1) The commercial contained low production qualities, suggesting that it was intended to promote local franchises and not the entire chain. It was also shot on video with amateur actors.

2) I remember seeing this commercial frequently whilst living in Lancaster, PA around 1995 or 1996, therefore it was most likely localized to that region: south-central Pennsylvania or possibly northern Maryland.

3) The commercial started on a mountain with a bald man groveling to a wise sage who is addressed as “the Great Seer", to whom was wearing a robe and a fake beard.

4) The bald man in the commercial was overweight, middle-aged, had a mustache or goatee, and appeared to look Mediterranean. He also had large eyes which got big as he became excited from taking a bite of the sandwich.

5) The commercial had many spiritual themes, such as referring to Subway subs as the path to perfection and truth.
---------------------------
Credits:

Video production, editing, recording, and audio editing: Julius von Brunk
Narration: Julius von Brunk
Animated character voices: Julius von Brunk

Intro music: "Ghost Riders in the Sky", digital remix by Julius von Brunk in FL studio (originally performed by The Ventures)
Main music: "Walk, Don't Run", digital classical remix/arrangement by Julius von Brunk in FL Studio (originally performed/written by The Ventures)
Dramatization music: "Lettuce Prey", original song arranged/composed by Julius von Brunk in FL Studio
---------------------------
Equipment/software:

Primary footage: Nikon D750
Stop-motion footage: Nikon D5200
Video editing: Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects
Stop-motion recording: Dragonframe
Most VHS footage in this video (e.g. commercials, TV clips, family home movies, music videos) was pulled from my collection of v
...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9reMUXuC8Y
