The only way the body can use glucose (what carbs and sugar breaks down into) is for explosive energy. This is great for athletes, but for regular Joe's like you and me, it toxic!<br /><br />Simply put, sugar rots your organs if left unattended. This is why Insulin, the hormone released from your pancreas, is so important! With this hormone your blood glucose levels with skyrocket and eventually cause a sugar shock also known as a diabetic shock and you do NOT want that!<br /><br />The good news is, carbohydrates or sugar is not needed for the body to create glucose. Your body has the ability to create glucose through many other means, like protein and green leafy veggies. The body can also use fatty acids for energy, the purest and cleanest form of energy!
