Scoopex - Mental Hangover<br />Released: April 14 1990<br />Swedish Elite Easter Conference 1990<br />Ranked: 1st<br /><br /><br />Scoopex is an originally Amiga demo and cracking group, born in Austria early 1989 by members of Megaforce after that group died. Originally under the leadership of Ranger from 1989 until 1991, the group still exists today under the slogan 'Rangerism Isn't Dead'!<br /><br /><br />Swedish Elite Easter Conference 1990 was held at a school in Gothenburg, Sweden by Fairlight, Horizon and Miracle for the amiga and c64 scenes. Among the organizers were at least Galactus. About 800 people attended, making it one of the biggest parties ever in Sweden upto that time. The main party building had 5 floors with groups in each room, plus another smaller building was made available for sleeping and showering. There was an unusual amount of foreigners at this party; people came from Norway, Great Britain, Germany, Finland, Holland and Denmark. Facilities included a food stall, video showing. There were 27 contributions for the demo competition. Rules were quite strict; All entries had to work on kickstart 1.2 and 1.3 with up to 8MB fast ram and Super Fat Agnus. The demo competitions were shown on two tv screens, no bigscreen.
