#unity3d #vfxgraph #shadergraph<br /><br />In this video we will be looking at how to make explosions in Unity with VFX graph and with the help of shader graph too! I have been working pretty hard at improving my VFX skills, I really think VFX take games to the next level, and many indie games fall short of having that level of polish that really makes them stand out. <br /><br />We make use of a couple of really nice VFX graph nodes in this video - my favorites being the conform to sphere force node, and the turbulence node. The conform to sphere force node creates an outward force in the shape of sphere, I imagine I will be having loads of fun with this node in the future, as it makes it really easy to give the impression of something shooting outward from a central point, like you would see in an explosion - duh. And the turbulence node is an extremely useful noise creation node - which we make use of to create some embers to really bring our explosion effect to life. <br /><br />We use shader graph to help with a quick flipbook animation, it will take in a sprite sheet texture and use a time node to flip through the tiles in the sprite sheet based on the provided sheet size.
