How do we get addicted to depression? This video explores how our body can be addicted to sadness and what we can do to fix this.<br /><br />Trauma that we experience in life has a physical reaction in the body with certain chemicals that are released by the brain. When we repeatedly remember that trauma, those same chemicals get released into the body. If the mind relives the trauma enough times then the body gets addicted to those chemicals and this is where the person can enter into a continuous cycle of depression.<br /><br />A short clip taken from a talk on the first composition of the Guru Granth Sahib (Sikh holy book) called Jap Ji Sahib.
