WESTLIGHT Cycling Sports Gloves
WESTLIGHT Cycling Sports Gloves
https://youtu.be/dxhtY2sODfw

More Info and Purchase: https://tinyurl.com/ydvrwzns

Blog:
https://marcoscucom.wordpress.com/2021/05/04/westlight-cycling-sports-gloves/

Previous sports and cycling gloves I have tried have been on the chunky side, well-padded and substantial, offering good protection at the expense of flexibility. These new spandex/lycra short fit gloves from WESTLIGHT are very different.

Priced at £13.59 for the XL pair I ordered the gloves arrived simply but attractively presented in a plain bag but bundled with the gloves was an unexpected bonus, a lightweight but rather a spectacular neck gator.

The gloves themselves are far lighter in weight than any cycling or MTB gloves I have worn before and lack the heavy-duty padding but the payoff is that they are comfortable, flexible and not restricting in any way. Of course, they are not free of all protection, there are large silicone fronted gel pads across the palms, reinforcement around the shortfall wrists and a securing velcro strap across the base. There are touchscreen-friendly tips on the thumb and forefinger and this coupled with the smooth fit makes them a joy to use with a smartphone or tablet. The fingers are outlined with white reflective stripes for increased nighttime safety and have towelling along the thumb sides for sweat removal.

As regards sizing, I have average to large hands and so selected XL size. They proved to be a snug but not uncomfortable fit although any tighter and they would have been too small. I would suggest studying the official fitting guide and if in doubt buy a size up from normal.

M ( palm width 16-19cm)
L ( palm width 19-21 cm)
XL ( palm width 21-23 cm)
2XL ( palm width 23-25cm)

The gloves are far stronger than they appear at first and after a couple of weeks of daily use, they are still pristine. That said, they need to be treated with care when washing and a warm water hand wash only is recommended followed by simple air drying.

So there it is. If you need some robust, decent quality lightweight sporting gloves then these could be what you need. I will use them when on my bike in the summer and also probably when running later in the season when the air starts to cool. Whatever you use them for, I doubt you will be disappointed.

Music: YouTube Audio Library: josh pan: Guitar House
...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxhtY2sODfw
