Treaty of Paris <br />that recognized the colonies and every part thereof, as a free, granted them independence from & No longer colonies of Great Britain & <br />set the boundaries in North America between the British Empire & the United States of America, <br />& addressed restoration of property and prisoners of war, & fishing rights <br /><br />New Hampshire, Massachusetts Bay, Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, Connecticut,<br />New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina,<br /> and Georgia <br /><br />separate peace treaties between Great Britain and the nations that supported the American cause <br />France, Spain, and the Dutch Republic etc are known collectively as the Peace of Paris<br /><br />specific articles of the treaty were superseded as The US borders changed in later years, <br />accept Article 1 of the treaty, that acknowledges the free, sovereign, & independent <br /> existence of the United States as a
