Spot for the Game Boy was released in 1991. The game was also known as Spot: The Video Game and gameplay is based on the Chinese board game Go. Interestingly Spot, the red dot was the then mascot for the popular beverage 7 Up. Spot would go on to have another game for the Game Boy in 1992 named Spot: Cool Adventure.
