I can already hear the cord aficionados grabbing their pitchforks but just hear me out. I like to run the laser outside where all the nasty fumes can dissipate instead of stinking up my house but the big problem is that means I either need a ridiculously long usb cable or just leave my laptop outside with the engraver, at the mercy of the elements. So I figured it would be nice to be able to run the engraver outside while having the host computer safely sitting by the window connected wirelessly. So let's take a look at the little pcb I've designed to enable this, how it's attached to the laser engraver mobo, along with the necessary software steps to get everything working.
