"In Search of Sanity" (Strange Aeons Book 1) may be an ADVENTURE PATH module, but standing on its own its a unique revisitation of site-based adventuring and even an opportunity for survival horror themes like ammo, water, and food tracking to come back into your D&D-style roleplaying.<br /><br />When considered among the sound and fury of the monthly APs, and regarded simply as a means to an end to get to the next AP, this module fell through the cracks. But if you look at it as a difficult, deadly, and horrifying module set in the Cthulhu mythos, if you look at it as one of a vanishing few AP books to take advantage of the format to set things up in medias res,<br /><br />This book is special.
