Here's another take on using custom spell and ability cards for RPGs like Dungeons and Dragons. Following up on the video showing how to use crobi's RPG Card Maker to easily create cards your players can use (see <a href="https://www.patreon.com/posts/42757210" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://www.patreon.com/posts/42757210</a> ), in this video I talk about making and using cards for all of the characters' capabilities, split into groups according to their usage in the action economy.<br /><br />Here's a direct link to the RPG Card Maker instructional video: <a href="https://odysee.com/@TheElementaryDM" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://odysee.com/@TheElementaryDM</a>:b/CardMakerBasics:f?r=5kXDDdvzSyWb1NW7wG7EoiJdsC9dpFxL<br /><br />The icons I chose to use are sword-brandish for Actions, arrow-wings for Bonus Actions, and shield-reflect for Reactions.<br /><br />I also chose back icons and colors to represent the characters. For example, the Warforged Warlock uses mecha-mask for the back icon and purple for the card color.<br /><br />I did forget to mention that one of the problems I was seeking to resolve with these cards was that the kids were losing focus, not paying attention when it wasn't their turn. They weren't following along with what their teammates were doing nor were they caring about what the monsters did unless they were getting attacked.
